Leviton Network Solutions Europe was awarded the prestigious ‘Outstanding Business Award’ at the Fife Business Awards, held 29th March 2019. The award recognizes the company’s long-standing history as a successful global cable manufacturer with its roots based in Fife. Leviton Network Solutions Europe, formerly Brand-Rex, has been designing and manufacturing advanced cable and connectivity solutions from its head office in Glenrothes since 1972.
The award acknowledges Leviton as a growing business with a strong history and heritage in Fife. Leviton is a global player, manufacturing cable that serves an international customer base, and it has invested in the Glenrothes site with the 2018 opening of a Data Center Factory for pre-terminated products. Leviton also works with the local community and supports the Go4SET with Kirkcaldy High School to encourage students to enter engineering, science and technology sectors.
In 2018, the company had another double-digit sales growth year in terms of the overall business.
Alan Mitchell, Chief Executive of Fife Chamber of Commerce and judge, commented:
“The judges were unanimous in choosing Leviton as the recipient of the Outstanding Business Award. What particularly impressed us was the ambition the company has to be a major player on the global stage, and the investment that it is making in the Glenrothes site and its workforce to achieve these international ambitions. The longstanding Go4SET project with Kirkcaldy High School was a very vivid demonstration of its commitment to create a sustainable, long-term future in Fife for the business and improve future career opportunities for young people in the Kingdom at the same time.”
Ian Wilkie, Managing Director of Leviton Network Solutions Europe, who received the award said,
“I am delighted to accept this accolade on behalf of all of the staff at Leviton Network Solutions Europe. To receive the ‘Outstanding Business Award’ in Fife is a testament to all of the employees who work hard to serve our global customer base from Glenrothes.”
