< PreviousGetronics Group appoints Tom Regent as Chief Commercial Officer Dutch headquartered global IT services business, Getronics, has appointed Tom Regent as Chief Commercial Officer. This senior appointment for the Getronics Group adds further clout to its senior team, now under new ownership and led by Executive Chairman, Kenton Fine. Regent will lead sales and marketing globally and has a strong track record of driving growth in successful international businesses which he now brings to Getronics. Most recently he ran his own consulting business, advising companies on growth strategies and sales transformation, before which he spent two years as Chief Commercial Officer of Colt. Prior to that, he served as President Global Banking and Financial Markets unit at BT, leading a team of more than 2000 industry experts delivering networked IT solutions to financial institutions globally. Additionally, while at BT he held the position of President Global Sales and Marketing, in charge of worldwide sales operations, marketing, channels and bid management. During his career, Regent has also held various senior leadership positions at AT&T including heading up its 5000 strong AT&T Europe, Middle East and Africa unit and serving as Chief of Staff at the company’s headquarters. He was a sales leader at IBM before joining AT&T. Says Fine, “We’ve promised our colleagues and our clients an injection of energy, expertise and long-term investment. We’re also injecting even more talent. Tom will lead our sales operations globally with a focus on providing an even better offering and service for our clients. The Getronics Group has gone through a challenging period of transition prior to my involvement as Executive Chairman but that’s now in the past and we are delighted with the progress over the past few months.” Regent will work alongside CFO, Mike Field, COO, Rogier Bronsgeest, CTO, Harsha Gowda and Andre Ribbens, Group Transformation Director. Getronics is going from strength to strength.” n Movers and Shakers GTT Communications Inc, global cloud networking provider to multinational clients, has announced that Tom Homer has joined the GTT leadership team as senior vice president Europe to lead GTT’s sales and client services operation in EMEA. Mr. Homer brings to GTT over 25 years’ experience as a telecoms industry executive, having held leadership roles at Telstra, Global Cloud Exchange and Cable & Wireless. “Tom has a track record of leading organisations in the international telecoms industry to significant organic growth,” stated Ernie Ortega, GTT’s chief revenue officer and interim CEO. “In his last role Tom led a team that nearly doubled revenue in its region and dramatically improved customer advocacy. I’m looking forward to the positive impact his leadership will bring in accelerating GTT’s revenue growth and customer-first objectives.” Mr. Homer is joining GTT from an advisory role at Laser Light — a hybrid software, satellite and fiber platform business where he was chief customer officer, responsible for sales, product, marketing and customer experience. Prior to this role Mr. Homer was managing director EMEA at Telstra, responsible for developing and executing strategy across the region. Mr. Homer was also executive sponsor for Telstra’s global customer advocacy program. John Tobin John Tobin joins following 15 years at Goldman Sachs, taking up his role as Data Architect at Solidatus. Previously a Senior Engineer within Goldman Sachs’ Data Governance department, Tobin is now responsible for designing and implementing models for the Solidatus portfolio of reference model assets, as well as supporting strategic sales and data governance implementations of the software to tier 1 clients. Elizabeth Squire Elizabeth Squire joins as Director of Business Development for government, responsible for driving Solidatus’ public sector growth and alignment. Squire previously held roles internally at the MOD in human resource management and data analysis. With a track record of successful negotiation and stakeholder buy-in to deliver complex MOD projects and leadership roles within the Royal Navy, she recently led Solidatus’ involvement in the UK government’s FCA DataSprint initiative and will be developing opportunities for the business in the Public Sector. David Pinto David Pinto is appointed as a Director of Business Development for financial services, joining the team from cloud platform and software development firm Pivotal where he ran the platform architecture team. Pinto brings 20 years’ management, tech, pre-sales and consultancy expertise to the business, as well as experience in solution-building, hardware infrastructure and software architecture for large- scale enterprise systems. Mark Garbett Mark Garbett, also Director of Business Development for financial services, will be focused on driving forward the metadata management specialism within the business. As well as driving the business development strategy in the UK and other territories, Garbett will be building long-term client relationships and supporting data management objectives, primarily with Financial Services clients. The dual business development hires of Pinto and Garbett are part of the company’s tech-aligned sales development strategy.
